“Batch #6”, also known as “Pistol Pete’s Shows” was not only the first batch of new content made for the Show Selector era, but the first covers as well. It consists of 15 entirely new covers and was made sometime around August of 1990. These shows were originally made custom for Pistol Pete’s. For many years, the majority of these songs were entirely lost, save for "Land of 1,000 Dances", "Hot Rod Lincoln", and "Bust a Move". "Black Velvet" was revealed in late 2020, in time for the Rock-afire’s 40th anniversary. It wasn’t until 2024 when the better half of the tape leaked online. While the songs themselves are well produced, it’s the programming that falls flat. While it’s known 90s programming doesn’t live up to 80s standards, Batch #6 is particularly bad as these shows were crudely programmed with the help of copy and pasted routines. An interesting thing about these shows is 5 of them were re-recorded in Spanish by request of Pistol Pete’s. Some of these shows would later be programmed on the NRAE, as "Into Something Good" and "U Can't Touch This" appear in the Mijjins promo. "What It Takes" and "Black Velvet" would also be found on NRAE show lists.
